Workshop

Learn how to define behavior standards that guide the development of your workforce.

L&D teams often need to design programs to guide people through developmental stages of their jobs (e.g. from novice to mastery). This requires us to have an operational definition of each stage, how to know what stage a person is in, and what they need to advance to the next phase. This is the role of the competency model. This course covers how to create a high impact competency model.

Your people will learn:

  • How to explain what a competency model is and is not
  • How to explain when to use a competency model – and when not to
  • How to recognize what a competency model and its components looks like
  • How to gather the information needed to create a competency model
  • How to construct a competency model
